SAT-TOOL the time saving, money
making satellite sighting tool looking forward to
Atlanta.
SAT-TOOL made its first public
showing at the Satellite Expo 2005 in Memphis, TN last
year. Our product was well received and won the
Technicians Choice Award from show attendees. There
were only three awards given and we feel especially
honored to achieve this recognition on our products
debut.
SAT-TOOL is designed to aid the
installer in locating dish placement in areas with line
of sight (LOS) issues such as heavily wooded locations
and other tall obstacles like buildings, hills and roof
lines.
Time is money and dealers cant
afford to have their installers actually install the
dish (sometimes in multiple locations) just to find out
that the signal is low or none at all. Or simply tell
the customer that they arent able to receive satellite
signals due to obstructions. Worse yet, go ahead and
install the dish in the winter just to have LOS problems
(and chargebacks) in the spring! In as little as fifteen
minutes an installer can find the ideal dish location
and save the aggravation of having to deal with LOS
issues.
With todays new multi-sat dishes,
this is becoming more and more a problem. We are finding
that a customer may have a good view of some satellites
and not others. With SAT-TOOL, you can actually tell the
customer which satellites they are able to receive and
which one(s) they cant. The installer can then let the
customer decide if this is acceptable, note the invoice,
have the customer initial it and you are off the hook.
By looking through the viewfinder SAT-TOOL will actually
show which limbs or trees need to be removed for
service.
Owners Jim Eakes and Mark Jackson
of E & J Enterprise, LLP, the parent company of
SAT-TOOL, actually own their own respective satellite
retail companies for over 25 years each. With home
construction at an all time high the last several years,
we were finding more and more homes built in secluded
areas. Thats when we looked into purchasing an
accurate, moderately priced easy to use sighting tool.
We looked at all the options and didnt find anything
that really impressed us.
Thats when SAT-TOOL was born. We
did the research and found that there was a large market
for this device. We hired a designer / machinist and a
Patent Lawyer. After many more months of research we got
the word to proceed.
We have used SAT-TOOL prototypes
since 2003 and have made refinements as needed. SAT-TOOL
can be used for all orbital positions. We use SAT-TOOL
in our businesses to sight Dish Network, DirecTV,
Starband, WildBlue, DirecWay, GlobeCast, Spacenet,
Hughes and many other C and Ku band satellites. SAT-TOOL
has never let us down. We have installed customers that
were told by other dealers that they couldnt get a
signal. That makes for a strong relationship with the
customer. Time is money
SAT-TOOL saves you both.

Satellite Expo 2005 - Updates, Products, Awards
People from around the world are gathering this month in Memphis, Tenn., for the Satellite Expo 2005. So many, in fact, that the expo itself is bursting at the seams with info-hungry media, product-hungry retailers and product-heavy exhibitors.
Due to the sheer volume of different innovative products, event organizers have put together the JEM Awards recognizing excellence at the expo throughout the industry. In the days leading up to the event, Satellite Expo 2005 will feature different products to be entered into the awards, and offer a sneak preview of what will be presented at this year's event.
Currently the feature product is SAT-TOOL, a new satellite sighting device from E and J Enterprise. The SAT-TOOL quickly assists the installer locating dish placement in areas that have line-of-sight obstruction problems without having to use a meter or wires. The SAT-TOOL sets on a tripod and adjusts parameters by looking through the viewfinder and comes in a custom designed carrying case for storage and protection. See the E & J Enterprise JEM Awards entry in booth No. 120.
There are 5 JEM awards in different categories. The Technician Choice Award, The Retailer Choice Award, The Exhibitor Choice Award, The Satellite Expo Supporter Award and Best of Show. |
